Tsang Chung, a house 'boy,' attached to the Victoria Gaol quarters, created a disturbance last night in the Tai Ping Theatre, for which he had to pay dearly at the Magistracy this morning.

This morning, a quarrel arose between one of the managers the Tai Ping Theatre and a fiddler over a question of wages. The manager struck the musician and inflicted a nasty cut.

The management of the Wo Ping Theatre was charged at the Police Court today, before Mr. N. L. Smith, with allowing actors to sleep on the premises. A fine of $25 was imposed.

The Hongkong Amusements Limited are to be congratulated on their enterprise in connection with the newly acquired Wo Ping Cinema. The engagement for a short season of the famous magicians, Chefalo and Palermo, has done much to make known this new venture.

Rowdy characters who endeavoured to go into the Kau U Fong Theatre yesterday without tickets resisted efforts made by the management to eject them and a fight occurred which necessitated the appearance of the police on the scene. Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
